Recreational Uniforms

Recreational Teams get their uniform from the league and do not have to buy their own. The uniform includes blue socks, blue shorts, and a blue jersey that can be turned inside out to convert it to a white jersey. Neither shoes nor shin guards are provided by the league and are each players responsibility.

Competitive Uniforms

As of the 2004 season all competitive (Division/Class 1 and Division/Class 3) teams are required to use the SSJYSL uniform standard. The Cosmos uniform style is being "retired" by Adidas this year. Starting in 2007, the league has identified a uniform style that consist of:

Adidas Onore jersey (one in royal and white, one white)
Adidas Campo shorts in royal with white
Adidas Copa socks (royal with white stripes or white with royal).

All uniforms must have the SSJYSL logo on the left breast.

We use 8" numbers on the jerseys (royal numbers on white jerseys, white numbers on royal jerseys). You can also put 4" numbers on your shorts if you want (for an additional fee).

We also have identified league standards for kit bags (Copa) and warm-up suits (Calcio - in royal), but you are not required to order these items.

The league has arranged for special uniform pricing through Soccer Pro on Saratoga Ave. in San Jose. Soccer Pro has the required league logo on file and knows our uniform standards.

You can download the uniform order forms here (Soccer Pro order forms). The forms are in Excel. One version will calculate taxes and totals for you.

NOTE: Existing teams that have the Adidas Cosmos uniform kit can continue to use those uniforms. The $20.00 per player uniform rebate is available to all teams who comply with the league uniform requirements with either the Cosmo or Onore kits.

League discounts offered at Soccer Pro

The league has arranged to get special league pricing for uniforms, warm-up suits and kit bags from a local company, Soccer Pro. Soccer Pro is located in San Jose at 1338 Saratoga Avenue (408/551-0413).

In addition, Soccer Pro will give a 10% discount on all regularly priced shoes and 20% off of all other regularly priced items (clothing and equipment) to coaches and SSJYSL players.

To order uniforms from Soccer Pro, complete the uniform order form and return to Soccer Pro in person, or via fax (408/551-0414). If you need, Soccer Pro can provide uniform samples to help with getting proper sizes.

Uniform Reimbursement

All comp teams that comply with the uniform policy outlined above qualify for a $20 per player per year reimbursement. Please fill out the Uniform Reimbursement Form and mail it in by the end for the Fall season (no later than Dec. 15).
