U-8 Jamboree Rules

Each team will play 2 games on Saturday and 1 on Sunday -- championship/consolation games are additional.

Game Points

6 points for a win

3 points for a tie

0 points for a loss

1 point for each goal (up to 3 per game)

1 point for a shutout

Tie-Breaking Rules

The following rules will be used in order to break ties:

1) Most wins -- team with more wins will take the lead. If the tie persists then:

2) Goals against – team giving up fewest goals will take the lead. If the tie persists then:

3) Goals for – team with most goals scored (max 3 per game) will take the lead. If the tie persists then:

4) Coin flip

Awards

Each player will receive a Jamboree medal. All medals are the same even for first and second place winners. There will be no team trophies.

Length of games

Two 20 minute halves. Games will start on time. If a game starts late, no extra time will be added to make up for the late start unless approved by U-8 Director. If a championship/consolation game is still tied at the end of regulation, the game will be decided by kicks from the mark.

Forfeits

Any team not ready to play 10 minutes after scheduled start will forfeit. The official score would be 2-0, with the winning team being awarded 8 points.

If a coach, an assistant coach, or a parent refuses to leave the school premises when ejected by the referee, the game will stop and his/her team will forfeit the game. The official score would be 2-0, with the winning team being awarded 8 points.
