The map on our website at http://www.ssjysl.org/map.shtml shows the league
boundary (blue line) and all the practice fields that SSJ teams can use
within our boundaries.
If you are the first team to use one particular school make sure you talk
to Kurt Kanavel before your first practice there so that he can contact the
principal of that school.
BY> We have made great strides these past 2 seasons in
BY> improving our existing soccer fields and securing
BY> additional surfaces for our teams to play and practice
BY> on. However, there have been some compaints at the
BY> District level about SSJ teams practicing outside of
BY> our boundaries.
BY> As teams in SSJYSL, and part of the league's agreement
BY> to allow teams to continue to play in SSJ, you MUST
BY> abide by the league boundaries for practices. Failure
BY> do so will result in SSJYSL disapproving or
BY> withdrawing your registration. District 2 has
BY> threatened to sanction SSJYSL if its teams continue to
BY> disregard this policy, which would penalize all teams
BY> within the league, and we're not about to let that
BY> Only teams with special circumstances at certain
BY> facilities that have been approved on a case-by-case
BY> basis by me and the SSJ Board will be allowed to
BY> practice outside of our boundary area. The boundary
BY> area is defined by Bailey road in the south, roughly
BY> Monterey Highway in the north/east, Almaden Expressway
BY> in the west and the ridge between IBM Research and
BY> Boulder Creek GC in the south. If you are unsure
BY> about where it is you wish to practice, please contact
BY> Kurt Kanavel (see the SSJYSL web page). We believe
BY> that there are plenty of practice fields for all of
BY> teams to use within our local league.
BY> Again, teams that do not practice within SSJ league
BY> boundaries will NOT be registered for the Fall season.
