CHARLESTON, S.C. (Feb. 15, 2011)– Online applications are currently available
for National Cup X Regionals running from Memorial Day weekend through July
12, including the Chino Regional, to be held June 25-28 at Ayala Park; the
Modesto Regional, to be held July 11-14 (Boys) and 18-21 (Girls) at Turlock
Sports Complex; and the Seattle Regional, to be held June 25-28 at 60 Acres
Soccer Complex.
Proudly celebrating its 10th year as US Club Soccer’s signature national
championship competition, the National Cup X will look to grow on the success
of the first nine editions of the event. The 10th annual National Cup will
conclude July 29-Aug. 1 with the National Cup X Finals taking place at Hubbard
Fields in Boise, Idaho, marking the first time that the National Cup Finals
will take place in the western portion of the United States.
Online applications are available for all National Cup X Regionals and can be
found on each individual Regional’s page. These pages also include specific
information for each Regional and can be accessed via the links below.
Two competitive divisions are available for National Cup X Regionals, which
are open to U-11 through U-18/19 boys’ and girls’ and Adult teams registered
with US Club Soccer. Winners in the U-13 through U-17 age groups from each
Regional advance to the National Cup X Finals, where national championships
will be awarded.
Teams that are not currently members may join prior to competing by contacting
their respective Membership Services Representative.

Application Highlights
WHAT IT IS:
The tenth edition of US Club Soccer’s national championship event. U-13 through
U-17 winners from each Regional advance to the National Cup Finals, where
national champions are crowned.
AGE GROUPS:
National Cup Regionals: U-11 to U-18/19 boys' and girls' and Adult teams
FEES:
National Cup:
$695 for U-11 and U-12 teams^
$895 for U-13 through U-18/19 teams^
$650 for Adult teams^if paid no later than 45 days from the Regional start date;
thereafter, fees increase by $100.
· There is no fee to participate in the National Cup Finals.
Participation in the event is covered in the initial National Cup application
fee.
· As in previous years, a team that has applied for a National Cup
Regional which subsequently qualifies for a US Youth Soccer Regional, and
chooses to attend the US Youth Soccer Regional, will receive a full refund.
· In all other cases, the fee is non-refundable. A $1,000 penalty will
be imposed for any team that drops within three weeks of the Regional for which
the team applied.
· US Club Soccer reserves the right to accept or deny applications for
the National Cup X; early applications receive priority.
TWO LEVELS OF COMPETITION:
*Super Group (most competitive)
*Premier
Teams apply to the Premier level. A tournament committee, consisting of neutral
regional club soccer coaches, will provide input on seeding. US Club Soccer will
also review all tournament and league history that has been provided by the
applicant, and several online rankings will be consulted. Qualified teams will
be promoted to the Super Group level.
CHOOSING A LOCATION:
No restrictions; teams are able to attend any Regional, regardless of geographic
considerations.
ELIGIBILITY:
The National Cup is restricted to US Club Soccer-carded teams. Teams that are
not currently members may join prior to the event [How to Apply].
