2016/03/20 GU14 Poppy Jasper second place finish

U14 Alphas finished second place in the Poppy Jasper tournament. We won 2 games, tied 1 game and lost 1 game. Most importantly, we tied 1-1 in the first round and lost 1-0 in the final to a strong SAN CARLOS UNITED SC BLITZ BLUE 01G team. This team played in the GU14 CCSL Gold bracket last fall and finished 4th place (out of 10 teams). This spring, this team also plays in the same GU14 CCSL Gold. I am very proud of our players who are younger (02/03/04) playing hard against the bigger, stronger, faster, and more experienced players (01). Unfortunately, we could not come back after giving up a goal in the first half.

2016/03/13 GU14 East Bay JR. Cup Champions

Congratulations to our U14 Alphas (02/03/04) White for winning the GU14 East Bay JR. Cup Championship against the Danville Mustang Maverick 02 team 1-0 in double overtime and heavy rain. It was a very tough game due to the wet condition. We could not pass or dribble the ball well at all since the ball got stuck in the puddle of water. In the second half, our players witnessed the ball went in for a goal but the AR said it did not pass the goal line. We kept playing hard together as the team and having a lot of communication among our players. In about 2 minutes left in the second overtime, we scored a goal and won the game. It was very excited to win a closed game and also relieved that we did not have to do PK shootout. This team won all 4 games (3-0, 3-0, 4-0, and 1-0) with 1 sub. Our defense and goalie were incredible (no goal allowed in 4 games).

2015/08/22 GU13 Stanford Tournament Champions

Congratulations to the U13 Alphas White (with some U12 players) for winning the championship at the Stanford Summer Classic on 8/22 & 8/23. We won 2 games and tied 1 game on the first round. We advance to play the championship game against the VIKINGS SFVSC G02 VALKYRIES WHITE on Sunday and won 2-0. We got a lot of compliments from the referees and opponent coaches about our good passing attacks, great defense, and excellent foot works or moves. Go Alphas!
